Hyderabad, Sept.28 (NSS): BRS party MLA Harish Rao today alleged that CM Revanth Reddy was harassing the poor and the middle class people in the name of illegal construction demolition so much that tears were rolling down from their eyes. He said the government should have the blessings of the poor and not their sufferings. “What is the point of developing the city on the tears of the poor,” he asked.
Harish Rao, along with representatives of the BRS party legal cell and former minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, held a meeting with the victims of Hydra at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, he alleged that the officers of the State government were saying that the houses of the poor would be demolished and big buildings would be allowed on the Musi river. He said a team of the BRS party MLAs would go to the victims and find out their problems.
Rao claimed that former CM KCR did not trouble the people during his rule. He criticized CM Revanth for ruling with ill-conceived decisions. He said the focus should be on the issue of implementing six guarantees in 100 days and alleged that the Chief Minister did not think of focusing on people when they were suffering from diseases. He alleged that CM Revanth was hurting the reputation of Hyderabad. He demanded that the CM go ahead with the Musi River Beautification project only after holding an all-party meeting.
He termed the suicide of Kukatpally resident Buchamma as not a suicide, but a murder committed by CM Revanth Reddy and added that the victim had built a house for her three children and got them married. Rao said all the victims of Hydra were their family members and added that the doors of Telangana Bhavan would always be open for them for any kind of help.
