Hyderabad, Jan.22 (RAHNUMA): The Telangana High Court has postponed its verdict regarding the Group-1 recruitments. The High Court announced that the judgment will be delivered on February 5.
The division bench informed the lawyers that the judgment copy was not yet ready. A single bench had previously issued a stay on the Group-1 appointments. Following this, the TGPSC and several selected candidates approached the division bench, which lifted the stay. The bench stated that the appointments would be subject to the final orders.
It is known that a single judge had previously ruled that the final list of marks and general ranks for the Group-1 examinations should be cancelled due to irregularities and lack of transparency in the conduct of the exams, and that the answer sheets should be re-evaluated, or failing that, fresh examinations should be conducted.
Challenging that verdict, the TGPSC, along with several individuals who secured jobs through it, approached the division bench. The High Court had already completed the hearing on those appeals. While the verdict was scheduled to be delivered on Thursday, it has been postponed to February 5.
