This has been a pretty good session for stocks from several stocks, and those of housing finance companies are having a great outing too.Amid rising optimism about growth, the bulls are betting on hopes the realty sector will see a turnaround of sorts in the foreseeable future. Realty stocks are on a roll as well.Shares of HDFC (3.5%), LIC Housing Finance (2.5%), Indiabulls Housing Finance (5.5%), Dewan Housing Finance (5.3%), Repco Home Finance (2.3%), GIC Housing Finance (2.6%) and Can Fin Homes (up nearly 5%) are up sharply. Gruh Finance is trading modestly higher.Most of these stocks have moved higher on fairly strong volumes. On the HDFC counter on BSE, more than 6.5 lakh shares have changed hands so far in the session, nearly 9 times the average daily volume. Meanwhile, hectic buying continues in the banking space as well. Almost all the stocks in BSE Bankex, Nifty Bank, Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty Private Bank indices are up with impressive gains.Among realty stocks, HDIL is gaining 5.3%, Indiabulls Real Estate is up 4.5%, DLF is adding 3.5% and Delta Corp is up nearly 3%. Sobha, Prestige Estates, Godrej Properties, Phoenix and Oberoi Realty are up 1.3% – 2.5%, while Unitech is gaining nearly 1%.
