Hyderabad, July 19 (NSS): Empowering future leaders, the Hyderabad Public School Ramanthapur’s Investiture ceremony 2024 was held on Friday on its premises in Ramanthapur in the city.
Shikha Goel, IPS, ADGP CID, Women Safety Wing, Director of Cyber Security Bureau, and TG, FSL Cyberabad was the chief guest. She inspected the NCC-Army, Air Force, and Navy platoons, invested in new leaders and gave them their oath of office.
The ceremony saw the conferring of duties to the new prefectorial team, led by Head Boy Sanvith Murari and Head Girl Ragi Sri Nitya. The primary wing students led by Captains Yashika and Shanaya were also invested, taking an oath to serve with enthusiasm and zeal. The event included a prize distribution ceremony recognizing outstanding students from grades X and XII.
Chief guest Shikha Goel reminding students what Dr APJ Abdul Kalam once said, ‘Dream, dream, dream’. It is the ambition and fire in us that keeps us striving for greatness, said, adding don’t wait for things to happen. Success will go to those who work for it. Go out of your comfort zone. Take risks. Don’t mind failing. Nothing is achieved without failing. When you fail, make sure you bounce back. Michael Jordan, famous basketball legend encapsulated this when he said: “I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career I have failed over and over and over again and that is why I succeeded. Remember this as you navigate through life. Embrace failure learn from it and let it strengthen you.
The NCC, led by Navy ANO Commander Ramakrishna, Army ANO Pramod Reddy and Airforce ANO Naveen, played a key role, with Best Navy Cadet U. Shrestha receiving the cane of Honour.
The other dignitaries present were Gusti J Noria, President of HPS Society, M.A Faiz Khan, Vice President of HPS Society and Member BOG, Shyam Mohan, former president of HPS Society, Aditya Reddy, Member BOG, Ashvani Kanth Rao, Member, MC, HPS Society & Secretary Alumni Association, Skand Bali, Principal, HPS Begumpet and other Alumni members.
- Sanvith Murari and Ragi Sri Nithya, both class XII students invested and assumed office as Head Boy and Girl of the School. Awards for academic excellence were given away. Gold Medal winners were presented with their medals. The best-performed students in co-curricular activities and houses were recognised and honoured.
