HYD residential registrations rise in value despite marginal volume dip in 2025: Knight Frank

Hyderabad, Jan.22 (RAHNUMA):Residential property registrations in Hyderabad rose 14 percent year-on-year (YoY) in December 2025, while the total value of homes registered increased by 23 percent YoY during the same period, as per Knight Frank India’s latest assessment.

After a subdued start to the year, registration activity gathered momentum in the latter half of 2025, with December emerging as the third-highest month in terms of registration volumes for the year. A total of 75,222 residential properties were registered in Hyderabad during calendar year 2025, marking a 2 percent YoY decline in volumes. However, the cumulative value of registered properties stood at Rs.52,351 crore, reflecting an 11 percent YoY increase, indicating a continued shift towards higher-value residential transactions.

Demand for premium housing remained strong, with registrations for homes priced above Rs.One crore increasing by 35 percent YoY during 2025.

The Hyderabad residential market comprises four districts – Hyderabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Rangareddy and Sangareddy – and includes transactions from both the primary and secondary real estate markets.
