(RAHNUMA) Atlanta, GA – Afreen Khundmiri, a Hyderabad-born artist and philanthropist, is captivating audiences worldwide with her groundbreaking work that fuses cultural heritage and contemporary design. Born into a distinguished Hyderabadi family, Afreen is the daughter of the late Talib Khundmiri, a celebrated Urdu poet and architect who designed over 500 mosques across Asia. Carrying forward his legacy of vision and creativity, Afreen’s artistic journey reflects a deep commitment to cultural unity and global impact.

Afreen has built an impressive international reputation, with over 800 pieces of her artwork sold globally. Her latest milestone came with the launch of her clothing line, Roya’Elle, at the prestigious Atlanta Fashion Week’s Faces of Fashion opening reception. This historic debut made Afreen the first Indian Muslim woman to showcase her designs at the event. Roya’Elle combines traditional South Asian artistry with modern aesthetics, celebrating Afreen’s Hyderabadi heritage and her journey in the United States.

Beyond fashion, Afreen’s influence extends to the world of fine arts. On November 8, she unveiled her Unity in Diversity art exhibition at the Fulton County Government Center. This event, which also marked the debut of her latest art collection, featured a dynamic mix of visual art and performance. Distinguished attendees included Commissioner Natalie Hall and David Manuel, Director of Fulton County Arts and Culture, highlighting the event’s cultural significance.

The exhibition showcased works by 15 South Asian artists in the Peachtree and Assembly galleries, where the collection will remain for two months. Complementing the artwork, the event featured over ten performances, ranging from traditional dances to musical showcases, alongside contributions from four local designers. Drawing an audience of more than 300 people, the evening served as a vibrant celebration of creativity and cross-cultural harmony.

Afreen’s initiatives aim to foster inclusivity and cultural appreciation. Through Roya’Elle and Unity in Diversity, she bridges divides and creates a platform for shared understanding, solidifying her place as a global ambassador for art, heritage, and philanthropy. Her achievements continue to inspire and set new standards for cultural and artistic innovation.
