Hyderabad, Telangana , June 19, 2024 : In a significant step towards transforming Hyderabad into a global city, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met with a delegation from Cushman and Wakefield, a leading commercial real estate services firm. The delegation, led by its Asia Pacific CEO Mathew Bouw, discussed the city’s rapid expansion and future development plans during a meeting held at the state Secretariat on Tuesday, June 18.
Focus on Hyderabad’s Growth
The meeting focused on the comprehensive growth of Hyderabad across multiple sectors, emphasizing the city’s potential to rise to global standards. The Cushman and Wakefield delegation presented their latest study, showcasing Hyderabad’s impressive growth in leasing, office space, construction, and residential sectors over the past six months.
Mathew Bouw highlighted the significant strides Hyderabad has made, stating, “Hyderabad is on a remarkable growth trajectory, with substantial developments in various real estate segments. The city’s expansion is a testament to its robust economic foundation and forward-looking governance.”
Government’s Ambitious Vision
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reiterated his commitment to developing Hyderabad on par with global cities like New York. He emphasized that the Telangana government is actively pursuing several key projects to enhance the city’s infrastructure and livability.
“The Telangana government is dedicated to transforming Hyderabad into a world-class city. Projects such as the Musi Riverfront Development, the Regional Ring Road (RRR), and the expansion of the Metro Rail are critical to achieving this goal,” stated Reddy. He also expressed optimism about the future collaboration with Cushman and Wakefield to further these initiatives.
Key Development Projects
1. Musi Riverfront Development : This project aims to rejuvenate the Musi River, creating a vibrant and sustainable urban waterfront. The development will include green spaces, recreational areas, and commercial zones, enhancing the city’s aesthetic appeal and environmental sustainability.
2. Regional Ring Road (RRR) : The RRR is designed to improve connectivity and reduce traffic congestion in Hyderabad. This 330-kilometer road network will encircle the city, facilitating smoother transit and boosting economic activities in the surrounding regions.
3. Metro Rail Expansion : Expanding the Metro Rail network is a cornerstone of Hyderabad’s urban development strategy. The extended lines will cover more areas, providing efficient and eco-friendly transportation options for the city’s growing population.
