Hyderabad to be developed on par with global cities like New York : CM Revanth

Hyderabad, Dec.3 (NSS): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has informed that the State government is working to develop Hyderabad as a global city and put it on par with cities like New York.

Addressing the “Hyderabad Rising” programme organised as part of the ‘Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu’ here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said there was a need of preparing an action plan for the development of Hyderabad as it had  a great reputation in the world.

Stating that the Congress government played a crucial role for the development of Hyderabad and it laid foundation for IT growth, the Chief Minister said the Congress party had a credit of bringing Godavari and Krishna rivers waters to the city, resolving the issue of drinking water.

Strongly rebutted Union Minister Kishan Reddy’s remarks on Musi River development, Revanth Reddy asked the BJP leader to bring Rs.25,000 crore for Musi River rejuvenation project and Rs.10,000 crore for housing project from the Centre and to show his sincerity for the development of Telangana.

Emphasized Hyderabad’s potential as a global investment hub, he said there is a need of Rs.1.5 lakh crore for transformative projects in the State capital.
