Hyderabad, Aug.31 (NSS): Hydra officials have taken up demolition of illegal structures in Gaganpahad area today. It has been found that the construction of the illegal structures had been taken up in Appacheruvu FTL. The encroachers have occupied the pond lands and built sheds in the area. As a result, the Hydra officials demolished the structures amid heavy police presence.
The officials found that 18 sheds were constructed illegally in the FTL of the tank. The protective wall built across the pond was removed by the encroachers. The Officials ordered the workers to vacate their residences. It has been found that the lower part of the pond is getting flooded due to the sheds. It is alleged that four years ago, the pond was dug to prevent water from entering the sheds. The sheds of Mailardevpalli Corporator Srinivas Reddy of BJP were also demolished by the State government authorities.
