HYDRAA fells illegal constructions at three places in Kukatpally

Hyderabad, Sept.22 (NSS): The demolition of the HYDRAA has started again in city today. The HYDRAA officials demolished illegal constructions at three places in Kukutpally and Ameenpur areas. The demolitions were carried out at several places in Hyderabad and Sangareddy amidst heavy police bandobust. However, the poor people alleged that their houses were being demolished without even giving them notices and added that they were not even allowed to take out the valuables from their houses.

The HYDRAA staff demolished the encroachments in Kukatpally Nallacheruvu tank. The total area of the tank is 27 acres. Of this, seven acres of FTL and buffer zone have been encroached upon. More than 50 pucca buildings and apartments have been constructed on four acres of land in the buffer zone. There are 25 buildings and 16 sheds on three acres of land in the FTL. Hydra had demolished 16 sheds, excluding residential buildings. Heavy police force has been deployed in the area in the wake of the demolition drive.

One of the victims claimed that he had built a food catering stall for Rs 50 lakh. In Kukatpally Shanti Nagar, the cries of the victims were heard. More than 20 commercial shutters were destroyed in the area. The officials of Hydra demolished the illegal constructions located in government S.No 12 of Patelguda village under Ameenpur municipality limits in Sangareddy district. Notices were served on the encroachers in the last three days. The officials also demolished 14 villas in the area. The family members, who were already residing in the houses, had been evacuated by the officials of Revenue, Municipal and Police departments before carrying out their demolitions. Some locals were in tears as the houses were evacuated.
