Hyderabad, Nov.29 (RAHNUMA): In a sensational political twist, BJP MLA Aaleti Maheshwar Reddy has thrown a high-stakes challenge amid the ongoing allegations of a massive HILT land scam in Telangana.
Responding to Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy’s remarks dismissing the accusations as ‘misleading’, Maheshwar Reddy declared that he possesses ‘solid evidence’ of the alleged irregularities. “If I fail to prove the HILT scam, I will retire from politics”, he announced publicly, urging Minister Uttam to show similar courage. He questioned whether the Minister would resign if the scam is proven true.
Reddy claimed he is ready to present all related documents inside the Assembly, reiterating that large-scale irregularities indeed took place.
The political heat over the alleged HILT scam continues to intensify as rival parties trade serious charges.
