IMD issues yellow alert for Telangana

Hyderabad, Sept.22 (NSS): Telangana is going to witness an intense spell of heavy rain over the next three days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad issuing a yellow alert for the State.

The IMD has informed that there is a possibility of rain with thunder, lightning and gusty winds in many districts including Hyderabad from September 23 to 25.

The sky will be cloudy in Hyderabad for next three days and light to moderate rains, thunder and lightning showers are predicted at many places in the city. A yellow alert has been issued for Tuesday, urging the people to stay cautious as weather conditions are expected to intensify on that day. The people of the low-lying areas have been warned to be vigilant.

On Sunday, Hyderabad city and several other districts of Telangana received heavy rains. Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district recorded the highest rainfall of 103.3 mm. Golconda in Hyderabad also registered a significant rainfall, with 91.3 mm, the highest recorded in the city for the day.
