
Hyderabad, Dec.4 (RAHNUMA): Marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) 2025, Cure SMA foundation of India unveiled the preview and soft launch of “e-Swayam”, the country’s first community-driven digital accessibility map.
Launched at Hotel Red Fox in Hi-Tech City, the platform aims to offer real-time, lived-experience–based accessibility data, beginning with mobility accessibility in 2025 and expanding to cover all disabilities by 2027.
The event featured experts from HMRL, UNDP, Microsoft, Google, Coast Guard, ICICI Bank, CSIR-CCMB and others, who stressed the urgent need for universally accessible infrastructure and the role of digital tools in bridging policy-practice gaps.
