INTEGRATED RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS COMING UP IN 100 ASSEMBLY CONSTITUENCIES : REVANTH

Hyderabad, Aug.26 (NSS)Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has informed that the integrated residential schools are being built in 100 Assembly constituencies across the Telangana State and Rs.5,000 crores have been allocated in the budget for this purpose.

The Chief Minister distributed cheques of Rs.1 lakh assistance to Civils prelims qualified candidates under the Rajiv Gandhi Abhayahastham scheme at the Secretariat here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister alleged that the previous government had neglected the education sector in Telangana and many hostels were being run in rented buildings and hundreds of students were accommodated with one or two bathrooms.

“To correct the past mistakes, the Congress government has decided to construct BC, SC, ST and minority hostels in one compound in 20 to 25 acres in the name of Integrated Residential Schools in 100 Assembly constituencies across the Telangana State,” Revanth Reddy said.

The Chief Minister further reminded that within 90 days of the Congress government coming to power in Telangana, 30,000 job appointments were given to the unemployed youth and  another notification for 35,000 posts, including Group-1, Group-2, Group-3 and DSC were issued.

Speaking about the Skill University which offers all certificate and diploma courses for the unemployed youth, the Chief Minister said that the University would start training for 2,000 people without wasting the academic year this year and from next year onwards, the training would be given to 20,000 candidates.

On this occasion, Revanth Reddy disclosed that the State government would extend assistance of Rs.1 lakh to those who have qualified for the Mains and another Rs.1 lakh will be given to those who qualify for the interview.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Sridhar Babu, MLAs Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao, Koram Kanakaiah, Matta Ragamai, Gandra Satyanarayana Rao, Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy, Dr. Kavvampally Satyanarayana, MPs Raghuram Reddy and Gaddam Vamsi, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Singareni CMD Balaram and other senior officers were present in the programme.
