It’s an anti-farmer budget: KCR

Hyderabad, July 25 (NSS)The first chief minister of Telangana State and BRS party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday lashed out at the Congress government over the annual budget presented in the State assembly. “Looking at the budget, it is clear that this is an enemy government of the farmers,” he said. KCR claimed that the Congress government had stabbed all sections of the State on the back.

Speaking to mediapersons along with BRS party MLAs at the media point in the assembly after the budget speech of State Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, KCR said the previous government introduced several schemes for the welfare and economic development of all sections of the society. “It is understood that the sheep distribution scheme introduced for the economic development of the Yadav brothers has been closed down. The throats of the underprivileged were slit. There is no mention of Dalit bandhu scheme at all. There is no such great proof of the indifference and feudalism towards the Dalit society. There is no assurance for fishermen,” KCR said. He mocked that except the stressing of the numbers by the Finance Minister in his speech, there was nothing new in the speech.

He said there were  many things that need to be said clearly about women as well in the budget. He said the interest-free loan scheme was not a new scheme, but an existing scheme. “After the formation of the government, we also wanted to give at least six months’ time. I also did not come to the Legislative Assembly.  But if you look at today’s budget.. there is not a single policy formulation,” KCR said.
