Hyderabad, June 27 (NSS): Congress MLC Jeevan Reddy has assured that he will work for strengthening the Congress party in Telangana.
Jeevan Reddy, who was miffed over the party admitting BRS MLA M Sanjay Kumar, was summoned to New Delhi by the party high command.
On Thursday, he met the party leaders, including AICC Telangana in-charge Deepadas Munshi, party general secretary KC Venugopal, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and other leaders in the National capital. The party leaders have pacified him and explained the reasons for admitting BRS MLA Sanjay Kumar into the party.
Later, speaking to the media, Jeevan Reddy said that KC Venugopal has assured that those in the party will be given priority and due respect from the beginning.
He said that everyone should work together for the development of Congress party in Telangana.
Expressing joy over the appointment of Rahul Gandhi as the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, the MLC said that the Congress would come to power under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi in the future.
“The Congress government is implementing schemes in Telangana which are not being implemented anywhere in BJP ruled States. It is working hard to fulfill all the promises ” Jeevan Reddy said.
AICC Telangana in-charge Deepadas Munshi stated that doors are open for other party leaders joining the Congress party.
“We will ensure that the priority of those who have been in the party since the beginning is not reduced,” she said.
On the appointment of new TPCC president, Deepadas Munshi said that the party high command would take a decision on the selection of new party president in Telangana. (NSS)
