LONDON(RAHNUMA): The Jordanian Armed Forces intercepted four Iranian missiles over the past 24 hours, and thwarted two attempts by criminal gangs to smuggle drugs in drones.
The Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted and “professionally” destroyed the missiles, the Jordan News Agency reported. Authorities also responded to 17 reports of falling debris and projectiles but no injuries were reported.
Tehran continues to target several countries in the region, including Jordan, in response to the military campaign against Iran launched by the US and Israel on Feb. 28.
Meanwhile, the Armed Forces’ Anti-Narcotics Department seized two drones along Jordan’s western border on Tuesday that were being used by criminal gangs to transport drugs.
