Hyderabad,27th April 2024 : On the occasion of the 23rd foundation day of the Bharatiya Rashtriya Shakthi (BRS), working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) didn’t mince his words as he accused Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of engaging in a systematic deception of the people. Speaking at the event held at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday, April 27, KTR alleged that Revanth Reddy had misled the public with false promises during the assembly elections and was now continuing this pattern of deceit ahead of the upcoming parliament elections.
Hoisting the party flag amidst a crowd of devoted supporters and party workers, KTR expressed gratitude for their unwavering support over the past 24 years. However, his address quickly turned into a scathing critique of Revanth Reddy’s governance, particularly regarding his track record of unfulfilled promises.
Refuting Revanth’s recent challenge to implement a crop loan waiver by August 15, KTR pointed out the chief minister’s history of reneging on his commitments. He cited instances where Revanth had vowed to exit politics if he lost in various elections but failed to follow through on his promises.
Challenging Revanth to respond to BRS MLA Harish Rao’s demand to fulfill Congress’ promises by August 15, KTR questioned whether Revanth could deliver on his assurances within the given timeframe. Asserting that Revanth would not be able to fulfill his loan waiver promise under any circumstances, KTR predicted potential losses for Revanth’s Lok Sabha seats in his home district.
Expressing bewilderment at Revanth’s seemingly contradictory stances on issues ranging from Adani to his support for Prime Minister Modi, KTR suggested that Revanth might be aligning himself with the BJP after the Lok Sabha elections.
Looking ahead to the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, KTR expressed optimism about winning 10-12 seats, citing public disillusionment with Congress and BJP’s perceived failures since 2014. Additionally, he predicted victory for Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections.
In a rallying cry to voters, KTR urged them to reject the “Bade bhai-chote bhai” (Modi and Revanth) duo at the polls as a means of teaching them a lesson.
The address by K.T. Rama Rao underscored the growing political tension in Telangana as parties gear up for the upcoming elections, with accusations of deception and unfulfilled promises taking center stage in the political discourse.
