KCR picks Dr Sudhir Kumar as BRS candidate for the Warangal seat

Hyderabad, April 12 (INN): BRS President K. Chandrashekhar Rao has declared Dr Marepalli Sudhir Kumar as the party’s candidate for the Warangal parliamentary constituency seat.

Dr. Sudhir Kumar, a resident of Hanmakonda district and a member of the Madiga community, currently serves as the Chairman of Hanmakonda Zilla Parishad.

His candidacy, supported by his longstanding activism for Telangana since 2001, received unanimous approval from the joint Warangal district party chiefs. Following extensive discussions with key leaders and considering their recommendations, KCR finalized and announced Sudhir Kumar’s nomination.

It’s worth noting that initially, Dr. Kadiam Kavya, daughter of Station Ghanpur MLA and former Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari, was selected as the BRS candidate for the Warangal seat. However, both Kavya and Srihari subsequently left the BRS to join the Congress. Consequently, the Congress party nominated Kavya as its candidate for the Warangal seat. (INN)
