Hyderabad, Dec.5 (NSS): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao should fulfill his responsibility as the leader of the Opposition in Telangana.
Speaking at a programme after launching the Indiramma houses Mobile App at Secretariat here on Thursday, the Chief Minister said the Opposition leader should come to the Assembly and give his valuable suggestions to the government for moving the State forward in the development.
“KCR should question the government and put the ruling party in a tight spot. It is not a good for Telangana to keep the Opposition chair empty,” Revanth Reddy said.
Stating that the government does not mean just 65 MLAs and it is a strength of 119 legislators, the Chief Minister said the Telangana people gave representation to everyone in the Assembly and they will be happy when every Member fulfill their responsibilities.
“KCR created a situation where the ruling party considered opposition as a enemy.
We have no differences. KCR is older in age and experience. He should use his experience for people,” Revanth Reddy said.
Appealing to the Opposition leader to think whether it is good to instigate two BRS leaders-KT Rama Rao and Harish Rao against the government like Marichudu and Subahu in the Ramayana, the Chief Minister said that KCR should take initiative for not creating nuisance when the people’s government was working relentlessly for the development of Telangana.
“Despite having political differences, Tamil Nadu leaders fight together on state issues. They fight in the Parliament and get funds for the State. Why is that spirit lacking in Telangana ? People gave a mandate whether opposition liked or not. Leaders should respect the people’s verdict. The Nizam ruler himself bowed to the people’s mandate,” Revanth Reddy questioned.
He further suggested that KCR should participate in the Praja Paalana Vijayotsavalu celebrations to mark the completion of one year in the office.
“Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and the officials will invite KCR specially. Everyone should participate in the celebrations at Tank Bund and make it a big success,” he said.
