KCR utterly failed to discharge duty of Opposition leader: CM Revanth

Nalgonda, Dec.7 (NSS): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has come down heavily on former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, saying that the BRS chief has utterly failed to discharge his duty of Opposition leader in Telangana.

Addressing the public meeting at Gandhamvari Gudem village after the inauguration of medical college and foundation stone for various development works in Nalgonda district on Saturday, the Chief Minister criticised the attitude of KCR for confining to his agriculture farm house, neglecting his primary duty of the Opposition leader.

“The attitude that if we win elections, we will enjoy power, and if we lose, we will be confined to the farm house is not correct,” he pointed out.

The Chief Minister further stated that even after Congress MLAs were snatched away during the BRS rule, Congress leaders did not go back and fought against the previous government. But, even after a year, have you ever played the role of the opposition leader?” Revanth Reddy questioned KCR.

“Nalgonda’s role in the Telangana movement is unforgettable.

Starting with Srikantha Chary, many people from Nalgonda became martyrs in the Telangana movement. But, the ten years of BRS government did not improve the lives of the people of Nalgonda,”.

He alleged that the Nalgonda district was neglected in all the aspects during the tenure of BRS government and the fluoride problems remained the same.

“More damage was done to the Nalgonda district during the KCR regime than during the combined Andhra Pradesh State,” Revanth Reddy pointed out.

The Chief Minister assured that he will spend any amount to complete all the irrigation projects in Nalgonda district.
