Hyderabad, July 27 (NSS): Former minister and BRS party leader Harish Rao today said the State government can remove the mark of their leader KCR, but not from the minds of the people of the State.
He made these remarks during the general discussion on the budget in the assembly. Speaking on the occasion, he criticized the presentation of an unrealistic budget by the State government. Wondering whether it is enough to say that the BRS government’s governance is not good, he demanded that sufficient evidence be shown by the State government. He said the BRS government had taken the GSDP from Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 14 lakh and added that 1,400 MW of electricity had been generated from Ramagundam. He demanded that evidence be shown that the previous government’s governance was not good.
Harish Rao said the pension of Rs 200 per month during the previous Congress government was increased to Rs 2,000 during the BRS regime. “Before coming to power, CM had promised a pension of Rs 4,000. However, ₹ 4,000 pension has remained on the tongue of the CM,” Rao mocked. He recalled that 14 out of the top 20 ranks announced by the Central government on the development and cleanliness of villages had come to Telangana State. He alleged that the 10-year-old government had deleted the information so that the performance of the BRS was not known.
Harish Rao criticized the state budget as a budget with unrealities. He alleged that it was mentioned in the budget that the revenue from taxes would be higher. He demanded to know as to how it would come. Harish Rao alleged that Congress leaders were more focused on scolding the BRS party leaders than on formulating policies. “People are watching the hard work of the BRS and the eight months of drama of the Congress. Revanth Reddy had spoken about the power situation in the past and when the CM went to Keshava Rao’s house, the electricity was gone. All the newspapers have mentioned about it,” Harish Rao claimed. Harish Rao alleged that information about the functioning of his party’s government was being deleted. “It can be removed from a computer, but it can’t be removed from people’s brains,” he said. Letters can be removed, but experiences cannot be removed, he added.
