Khairatabad Metro Station overcrowded with Ganesha devotees

Hyderabad, Sept.14 (NSS): The Khairatabad Metro Station was crowded with commuters today. The station premises were abuzz with devotees thronging Khairatabad from LB Nagar and Miyapur for darshan of the famous Khairatabad Ganesh idol. With two consecutive days of holidays, the rush of devotees to Lord Ganesha in Khairatabad has increased. Keeping this in mind, the metro rail management has made arrangements to ensure that the devotees do not face any difficulty. Adequate measures have been taken to avoid overcrowding at ticket counters and exit gates. They are sending the passengers, who booked their tickets through QR code and those who bought tickets through counters separately into the metro stations.

Passengers are advised to book the tickets in advance through the QR code installed inside the station and recharge at the entry station if they do not have enough money in the card. The metro management has arranged for additional manpower at the Khairatabad metro station as the rush was seen increasing from Saturday morning. Precautions were being taken to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience. Security personnel at ticket counters, entry and exit gates as well as at the platform are giving appropriate instructions to the passengers.
