
Hyderabad, Jan.1 (RAHNUMA):Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy on Thursday visited Avanti Nagar in the Himayat Nagar division and held a meeting with local slum dwellers, accompanied by officials from various departments.
Residents brought multiple civic issues to the Minister’s notice, including faulty streetlights, drainage leakages, stormwater flow, and rainwater accumulation. Kishan Reddy directed the officials to immediately address the grievances and ensure permanent solutions, particularly in Street numbers 17, 18, and Raja Mohalla.
He also assured the residents that a new community hall would be constructed in Gandhinagar, and instructed the authorities to resolve the streetlight problem in Avanti Nagar without delay.
Addressing the gathering, the Union Minister highlighted India’s steady progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, citing infrastructure growth, welfare schemes, economic reforms, and national security measures. He called upon the people to strengthen Modi’s leadership, stating that it was essential for India to continue its journey towards becoming a global leader in 2026.
