Hyderabad, Oct.16 (NSS): Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) party president and MLC Prof Kodandaram today said that they welcome the BC caste census. He also urged the state government to conduct a survey on the socio-economic conditions of all sections across the state and not just the enumeration of the BCs. Kodandaram invited Sampath Kumar, former president of the Telangana Employees’ Union, to join the party at the Telangana Jana Samithi party office in Nampally.
Speaking on the occasion, Kodandaram said that the BRS leaders were unnecessarily criticising the programmes being carried out by the Congress government. “It should be noted that it was the previous BRS party government that initiated them. The BRS leaders are behaving irresponsibly and should be accountable to the people,” he said. He said that his party was welcoming the decision to beautify the Musi River but added that the work should be started only after the displaced are rehabilitated.
He congratulated Sampath Kumar for joining the party. He said that Kumar has a long experience as a union leader. Kodandaram said his services would be utilised to take up the issues of the employees with the state government and resolve them.
