Komatireddy issues warning of PD Act against perpetrators

Nalgonda, Nov.13 (NSS): Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has made a bold statement regarding the recent attack on Vikarabad District Collector Prateek Jain, affirming that the government will not hesitate to invoke the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against individuals involved in such incidents.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, the Minister strongly condemned the incident of attacking the District Collector who had visited to gather public opinion.

He demanded former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao to respond over the incident and issue a public apology for involving the BRS leaders in the incident.

Commenting on the investigation of ongoing phone tapping case, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that no one would be exempted from investigation and that all involved parties would face appropriate punishment as per the law.

The Minister stated that police investigations are underway, with all angles being examined and stressed that no influential figures—including KT Rama Rao and former MLAs—would be spared if found guilty.

Criticising the administration of the previous BRS government, he reminded that cases were filed against Dalits and BCs during the construction of Mallanna Sagar project.

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy also speculated that KTR’s recent trip to Delhi was a calculated move to avoid detention in the corruption cases.

In a warning to rice mills causing difficulties for farmers by refusing to purchase paddy, the Minister announced strict measures and promised that the entire paddy procurement process would be completed within a week.

Expressing disappointment at the silence of Union Ministers regarding cotton procurement, he said the stance of the BJP and Central Ministers appeared to indirectly support the BRS.
