Nalgonda, Oct.11 (NSS): Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has questioned why former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao is not coming to the Assembly.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Friday laid a foundation stone for the construction of Integrated Residential school in Nalgonda.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that during the previous BRS government’s tenure, KCR had promised that free education from KG to PG would be provided to students from underprivileged and weaker sections of society, but he didn’t fulfill the promise.
“The BRS government did not fulfill its promises of providing free KG to PG education, but our Congress government is going to implement their promise by constructing the integrated residential schools,” Komatireddy said.
He stated that the State government has decided to build a Young India Integrated Residential School complex in each Assembly segment, aimed at providing quality education to SC, ST, BC and minority students and bringing all residential schools under one umbrella.
“The State government is going to build the integrated residential schools in an area of 20-25 acres with administrative block, class rooms, hostels, mess, library, stadium, open air theatre, swimming pool and all other facilities. About 2,000 to 2,500 students will reside in these schools and about 150 teachers are appointed to each school. We are taking steps with the idea of providing better and quality education to rural students through these schools,” Komatireddy added.
