Hyderabad, Sept.26 (NSS): On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Konda Laxman Bapuji, Governor Vishnu Dev Varma paid heartfelt tributes to his enduring legacy.
In his message, the Governor stated, ‘A valiant freedom fighter and prominent Telangana activist, Konda Laxman Bapuji played a pivotal role in the Quit India Movement, the Non-Mulki Agitation, and the historic Telangana Agitation’ .
The Governor highlighted Bapuji’s lifelong dedication to public service, noting that he held key positions such as MLA, Deputy Speaker, and Minister. ‘Notably, he was the first minister to resign from his post in support of Telangana’s statehood, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the cause’, the Governor remarked.
On the solemn occasion, the Governor called upon the people of Telangana to honour the contributions of Konda Laxman Bapuji, reflecting on his selfless service and striving to carry forward his ideals and vision for Telangana.
