Hyderabad, Dec.9 (NSS): CPI MLA Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao today made crucial remarks during Telangana Assembly session. He started his speech by wishing Congress leader Sonia Gandhi on her birthday on behalf of the CPI. He said it would have been better if the BRS party was in the assembly session and it was not possible for all things to happen as planned by the BRS party.
“There is a Congress government at present. Similarly, in the past, when the Telangana Thalli’s statue was designed, the Opposition parties were not called for any discussion,” he reminded. He suggested in the House that it was the responsibility of the State government to celebrate December 9, the day as the statue of Telangana Thalli is being installed at secretariat.
Reacting to the change in the statue of Telangana Thalli, he said the TRS party can be converted into a BRS party, but shouldn’t the statue of Telangana’s Thalli be changed? Referring to the handle symbol in the statue, Rao told the House that it meant that the mother was giving her blessings to people. Stating that September 17 will be celebrated without any discrimination, he urged the government to conduct it officially.
