Hyderabad, Nov.3 (NSS): BRS party working president KTR cornered the State government on the issue of carrying out the works of Sitarama irrigation project without any approvals and tenders. Stating that the State government had set up a commission on the irregularities committed in the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project, he wondered what commission should be set up on the irregularities committed in the Sitarama project.
KTR made these remarks on his official X handle. Speaking on the occasion, he alleged that the Congress government had destroyed the lives of the fishermen’s community of the State by not taking any steps even after the reduction of the production of pisciculture by 20,000 tonnes in Telangana. Stating that it is a convention to change the names of welfare schemes by any newly elected government, he alleged that all the existing welfare schemes had disappeared in the Congress party’s rule.
He said the focus being shown by the State government on spending money for the rejuvenation of Musi river was not shown on releasing the fish seed in water bodies of the State. He alleged that the State government was ignoring the problems being faced by the fishermen’s community in the State.
