KTR files criminal defamation case against Konda Surekha

Hyderabad, Oct.10 (NSS)BRS party working president KT Rama Rao has filed a criminal defamation care against Endowments Minister Konda Surekha in a special court in Nampally.

KTR’s lawyer Uma Maheshwar Rao filed the defamation petition against Konda Surekha in the court. In his petition, KTR claimed that Konda Surekha had made comments that hurt his reputation. KTR named Balka Suman, Satyavati Rathod, Tula Uma and Dasoju Shravan as witnesses.

In his petition, KTR alleged that Konda Surekha made baseless allegations as a State minister. “I was a two-time MLA and served as a minister for nine years. I have brought awards and investments to the State at the international level in the country and abroad. I was awarded the best IT minister award in 2020. I have seen the comments made by Minister Konda Surekha on some channels. All the comments made against me are false allegations,” KTR said. In the petition, KTR also said Konda Surekha had made the comments in such a way that it would cause serious damage to his reputation.

Along with the petition, KTR’s counsel submitted videos, audios and screenshots of minister Konda Surekha’s speech to the court. He also sought legal action against Konda Surekha under Section 356 of the BNS Act. KTR’s lawyer submitted 23 types of evidences to the court.
