Hyderabad, Oct.23 (NSS): BRS party working president K T Rama Rao today said his reputation had been damaged by the comments made by State Endowments Minister Konda Surekha. The Nampally special court recorded KTR’s statement for 30 minutes in the case of loss of money filed against Konda Surekha on Wednesday .
In his statement, he said Konda Surekha’s comments had deeply objectionable to him as he had been in public life for a long time. The judge asked KTR what were the comments made by Konda Surekha and whether he could give details about them. KTR said he did not want to repeat the derogatory and objectionable comments made against him as Konda Surekha is a woman.
KTR said he had placed before the court a full written complaint regarding the comments made by Konda Surekha. He appealed to the court that he could not directly say the minister’s comments with his mouth. KTR alleged that Konda Surekha, who is holding the post of a responsible minister, had conspired and made false comments against him.
“A woman minister in a responsible position has made comments that hurt my image. Konda Surekha commented that I was a drug addict and organise rave parties. The witnesses in the case are Dasoju Shravan, Balka Suman and Satyavati Rathod. I’ve known them for 18 years. After seeing Konda Surekha’s comments on TV, they called me and told me. Surekha’s comments hurt my reputation,” he said. In his statement, KTR said Konda Surekha had made such comments to harm him and the BRS party. The court posted the matter for further hearing on October 30.
