Hyderabad, Oct.5 (NSS): BRS party working president KTR today came down heavily against the State government for showing negligence on Bathukamma festival. Taking to his Twitter handle, he expressed his displeasure over the neglect of Bathukamma festival, a symbol of self-respect, by the Congress government. “Doesn’t it matter to this chief minister,” he said and asked the CM whether he would not to make arrangements for the celebration of the festival of the women?
“Can’t you keep the villages clean even during the festival? Should our sisters play the Bathukamma in a dirty place amidst the garbage,” he asked.
He alleged that there was no pressure from the State government on grass root level authorities to make arrangements for the Batukamma festival. “Why is there so much negligence on the existence of Telangana’s festival? It is a special festival of worship eating and worshipping nature. Even it is the privilege of celebrating in clean surroundings for women,” he said.
