KTR slams Musi river beautification project

Hyderabad, Oct.27 (NSS): BRS working president KTR today criticized that Musi River beautification project was being revived for the sake of real estate business. “The government does not have any money for loan waiver and Rythu Bandhu, but only for Musi river rejuvenation project,” he said. He accused the Congress government of looting in the name of Musi river beautification project . “We are not against the beautification of Musi, we are against lootification,” he said.

KTR along with BRS party MLAs and MLCs inspected the STP at Nacharam in Hyderabad. He said that his government had worked hard to make Hyderabad a global city. He also said that the State of Telangana was on the path of development for in all spheres. “For the 10 years, we have been planning and correcting each sector. We have made Telangana the first state to provide water to every household. We have made Hyderabad free of drinking water and electricity. We have taken steps to prevent floods due to rains. We have developed nalas  and underground drainage in the city with crores of rupees. We have set up STPs to treat the Musi water. We have taken steps to treat about 20 crore litres of sewage every day. The BRS party government has taken steps for 100 per cent Musi water treatment,” he said.

He also said that STPs had been set up at a cost of about Rs 4,000 crore and added that the sewage was being treated with the STPs constructed during the BRS regime. “We have constructed India’s largest STP at LB Nagar. We have planned to build 14 bridges over Musi. A total of Rs 20,000 crore has been planned for the development of the Musi. Now CM Revanth is saying Musi is being beautified with ₹.1.5 lakh crore. To send the bundles to Delhi, the bundles are being thrown back,” he alleged .

He said that former CM KCR had already started the work of rejuvenation of the Musi. He said that the government didn’t have any money for loan waiver and rythu bandhu schemes. He made it clear that they not against Musi beautification. “We will fight till the six guarantees are implemented. THE BRS party MLAs will be at the forefront of solving people’s problems,” he said.
