Hyderabad, Nov.24 (NSS):BRS party MLC Kavitha today claimed that there was no government in India’s history that had witnessed so much public opposition within 10 months of coming to power like the ruling Congress government in Telangana. She made it clear that people would not forgive the party leaders who have switched sides without resigning from MLA posts.
MLC Kavitha held a meeting with Jagtial constituency leaders at her residence in Banjara Hills of the city. She also held a meeting with the leaders of the BC communities ahead of the report to the Caste Census Commission at 11 am on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, she said that she has a spiritual bond with Jagityal. She recalled that even though she had won as Nizamabad MP in 2014 and party’s rebel MLA Sanjay Kumar was defeated as Jagtial MLA, their party president KCR had given instructions to her to develop Telangana, irrespective of parties, and that Jagtiyal should not lag behind in development even if there is a Congress party MLA.
She said KCR used to say that as soon as Telangana State was formed, smaller districts should be created as more development will be done through smaller districts and every poor person in the villages will get the result of Telangana. MLC Kavitha said after the formation of Telangana State, KCR created Jagtial district and added that after Hyderabad, a large number of 4,500 double bedroom houses were allotted to Jagtial. She assured full support to the party workers and the local leadership in the upcoming local body elections. MLC Kavitha wished that in the local body elections, the pink flag should be hoisted in the villages, irrespective of the fact that the MLA has switched sides.
