Mumbai, Nov.9 (NSS): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has alleged that Maharashtra BJP leaders are spreading canards against the Congress government in Telangana and are telling lies to people about the implementation of the guarantees.
Addressed a press conference in Mumbai on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that the BJP leaders and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were misleading the Maharashtra people over the implementation of Telangana government’s schemes.
“I will continue to tell the truth until the Prime Minister has stopped spreading lies. I have come to Maharashtra to apprise people of the truth about the implementation of Six Guarantees in Telangana,” Revanth Reddy said.
He alleged that the highest number of farmer suicides have been reported in Maharashtra, but both the State and Union governments forgot the welfare of the farmers.
“The Congress party made a promise of farm loan waiver scheme up to Rs 2 lakhs in Telangana. As part of its commitment, the State government has waived Rs 17,869 crore farm loans by relieving 22,22,067 farmers from debt burden in 25 days. My government is ready to furnish the details of the implementation of farm loan waiver scheme if anyone wants,” Revanth Reddy said.
He stated that they have given befitting answers to Narendra Modi’s criticism on farmers issue in Telangana, which forced the Prime Minister to delete his tweet after a strong counter.
“Maharashtra attained a special place in the history of the country. The land of Maharashtra gave birth to many great and popular leaders who changed the destiny of the country. Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, Bala Gangadhar Tilak, Savitribai Phule, Dr. BR Ambedkar among others inspired people and showed the way for the country. However, the most acclaimed Maharashtra State should not go into anyone’s hands. Narendra Modi has shifted 17 mega projects to Gujarat which are supposed to be established in Maharashtra,” Revanth Reddy pointed out.
The Chief Minister appealed to the people to defeat BJP, which has deceived Maharashtra, and extend their support to the Congress party in the Assembly elections.
