Mallu Ravi slams BRS for ‘Anti-democratic conspiracies’ in Telangana

Hyderabad, Nov.12 (NSS): Congress MP Mallu Ravi has accused BRS leaders of plotting conspiracies aimed at destabilising the State government.

He specifically referred to an incident in Kodangal Assembly constituency where Vikarabad Collector’s attempt to meet with local villagers regarding land acquisition was disrupted.

In a press release here on Tuesday, the Congress MP alleged that the attack on the District Collector was orchestrated by BRS leaders who used farmers as a cover for their actions.

“All evidence of this is available,” he claimed.

Expressing his concerns further, Mallu Ravi said since the Congress government hasn’t lost public support, the BRS is attempting to provoke people into dissent through staged incidents, such as the Kodangal attack.

“This is not an attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, but rather an assault on democracy,” he pointed out.

Mallu Ravi, who represents Nagarkurnool Lok Sabha constituency, also criticised fomer chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao for allegedly prioritising family interests over public welfare throughout his decade-long tenure.

He referenced a recent visit by BRS working president KT Rama Rao to Delhi, alleging a secret alliance between BRS and BJP, and accused KTR of spreading baseless allegations against Congress leaders to defame them.

In response to accusations from KTR against Revanth Reddy’s family, the Congress MP asserted that Congress has always fought against KCR’s failures through non-violent methods, contrasting this with what he termed the aggressive tactics of the BRS.

Mallu Ravi went on to challenge BRS’s alliance with BJP, citing their avoidance of competition in Maharashtra elections.

“BRS leaders should answer why they chose not to contest in Maharashtra. By operating under orders from Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, they have shown their true colours as enablers rather than the primary opposition,” he alleged.
