Hyderabad, Nov.25 (NSS): BRS party working president KT Rama Rao today said 14 years ago, Manukota of Mahbubabad district was a turning point in the separate Telangana movement. He said the same Manukota was now ready to convince the new dictator, who wants to do what he will do when he takes away SC, ST and BC lands.
KTR participated in the Maha dharna organized by BRS party in Mahabubabad on Monday in support of tribal, dalit and poor farmers. Speaking on the occasion, KTR said people should know what happened in Lagacharla in Kodangal, which is the Chief Minister’s assembly constituency. KTR said BC, SC and ST farmers living in Lagacharla had revolted against the Chief Minister.
“Our daughters staged a dharna for nine months and protested when they were told that their lands would be taken away. For the last nine months, this Chief Minister has no time to know the problems of the people in his own constituency. However, he went to Delhi 28 times as if he was a boarding plane. Not even 28 paisa has been brought from Delhi by the CM,” he said while claiming that people are revolting against CM Revanth Reddy in his own assembly constituency.
“The people protested when the officials were gone the other day. But if Revanth Reddy had gone, he would have been hanged. This is because farmers in Delhi have been agitating for a year and a person like Modi has been forced to withdraw from the black laws. That’s how the power of farmers is. Revanth Reddy has been associated with farmers, who have such power,” he said.
KTR questioned for whom the pharma village was for. “Revanth Reddy is grabbing the land of the poor for the sake of his son-in-law. This Chief Minister is not working for the people of the State except for his own son-in-law, Adani is the elder brother of the Chief Minister. Another 10 days will be a year after Revanth Reddy’s rule. Six guarantees will be implemented in 100 days. Did you make 420 promises? Have you fulfilled a single promise,” he asked. The MLAs of Dornakal and Mahabubabad, who are present here, demanded an answer from the State government. KTR made it clear that the time will definitely come for them to give advice to Revanth Reddy, who is with the small and marginal farmers.
KTR said he was not afraid of Congress MLAs and former MLAs hitting them with stones and pouring petrol. He made it clear that there was no need to be afraid. “All those who blocked Telangana know what is the greatness of Manukota stones. The fire started 14 years ago in Manukota and then Telangana came into existence. If you don’t give permission today, we will go to the High Court and get permission. If you think of 1,000 people, 25,000 people have come for this maha dharna. This means how much anger and opposition there is towards the government can be seen from this Manukota Mahadharna,” he said.
