Maoist atrocities on Telangana-Chhattisgarh border increasing

Mulugu, Nov.22 (NSS)Maoist atrocities on the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border are increasing day after day. They have been steadily increasing their influence. The Maoists have carried out another misadventure on the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border. Uyika Ramesh,  who was working as panchayat secretary and his brother Arjun, were hacked to death by the Maoists in Vazedu mandal of Mulugu district of Telangana on the pretext of informers.

 They barged into the house with firearms late on Thursday night and hacked them to death in front of their family members. While Arjun died on the spot, Ramesh was breathless while the villagers rushed him to Eturunagaram hospital in 108 ambulance and succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

The Maoists left letters near the bodies in the name of Vazedu-Venkatapuram area secretary Shanthakka. The villagers said the Maoists were indulging in such incidents in the name of the informers in the agency. Police have sounded a high alert along the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border in the wake of the Maoists’ misadventure.

The police are investigating whether the Maoist cadre was directly involved in the incident or whether their associates and sympathisers were involved in the incident. A few days before the incident, it is being investigated whether there was any Maoist movement in the surrounding areas or any meetings were held. The police are also probing those who worked with the Maoists in the past and involved in several incidents.
