Medaram to host historic Telangana Cabinet meeting on Jan.18

Hyderabad, Jan.16 (RAHNUMA): A rare event is set to unfold in the history of Telangana state. This time, the state cabinet meeting will be held away from the capital city of Hyderabad, in the renowned pilgrimage site of Medaram.

The meeting will take place on Sunday, January 18, at 5 PM at the Haritha Hotel in Medaram, Mulugu district. However, the Revanth Reddy government has decided to hold this cabinet meeting, which is usually held at the Secretariat, in the tribal area of Medaram.

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao issued official orders to this effect on Friday.

It is learned that the primary focus of this meeting will be on overseeing the arrangements for the Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma Jathara (festival), as well as taking crucial decisions on the development of tribal areas.

Similarly, there is information that key decisions are likely to be made on important issues such as the state budget, municipal elections, and farmer welfare schemes.

Information regarding this crucial meeting has already been conveyed to Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers, the Planning Board Vice Chairman, and government advisors. Instructions have also been issued to the Mulugu district collector and the Superintendent of Police to make the necessary arrangements for the cabinet meeting.
