Megasoft jumps after company bags contract from Bihar Government

Megasoft (7.8%) has risen sharply today following the company signing and MoU with Bihar government. The stock rose to Rs 23, its highest in more than a month, and is currently trading at Rs 21.70.On BSE, the Megasoft counter has clocked a volume of around 2.78 lakh shares so far in the session, more than 6.5 times the average volume seen over the last two weeks.Megasoft Limited announced that it has been awarded a cloud-enabled solution & services contract by the Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd., The Bihar government plans to establish state-of-the-art cloud computing facility through BELTRON,  for use by its various e-Governance programs and other IT-driven initiatives.Last month, the telecom brand of Megasoft Limited, XIUS, was selected selected by Toka, a company specializing in electronic payment solutions to launch Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) services in Mexico. XIUS is renowned to have enabled MVNOs globally with independent control to design and create customized plans. Megasoft had reported consolidated net loss of Rs 1.17 crore for the quarter ended December 2016, lower than net loss of Rs 2.41 crore it had posted in the year-ago quarter. In the September 2016 quarter, Megasoft reported a net profit of Rs 7.49 crore.
