[India], Mar.7 (ANI): Kerala Women’s Commission chairperson K Rosakutty has condemned the appalling case of minor girls of an orphanage being raped in Kerala.
K Rosakutty said mindset of people needs to be changed.
“It is very embarrassing to hear such stories repeatedly coming on attacks on minor girls. It is the mindset of people that needs to be changed,” Rosakutty told ANI.
Stressing on changes being made in the legal system, she said, “The legal system should be such that if the voiceless people are attacked, we should not prolong things in court.”
“Fast track conviction should be there. A social reaction should be there. The culprits should be punished strictly,” she added.
At least seven girl students of a well-known Muslim orphange were subjected to sexual abuse by a gang of youngsters.
Police have arrested six and three more are yet to be nabbed. (ANI)
