Anantapur, Oct.29 (NSS): State BC Welfare Minister Savita today flagged off the newly sanctioned RTC buses at Penukonda bus stand. She drove a bus by herself. The RTC officials, staff and party rank and file were surprised when the minister held the steering wheel and drove the bus.
Speaking to media persons later, minister Savita alleged that the previous YSRCP government had borrowed Rs 10,000 crore but did not spend a single rupee on infrastructure and claimed that new buses were not purchased in the previous government. She said after the coalition government came to power, 400 buses were purchased.
APSRTC RM Madhusudhan, staff, TDP leaders and activists participated in the event.
