Hyderabad, June 6 (NSS): Minister for Irrigation Capt Uttam Kumar Reddy will visit Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla barrages of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) scheme in Jayashankar Bhupalapally district on Friday.
The Minister will examine the progress of interim measures recommended by National Dam Safety Authority ( NDSA) and also the ongoing monsoon flood protection works at the barrages.
The top management representatives of L & T, Afcons and Navayuga have been asked to be present on site and brief the Minister on the current situation as regards Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla barrages repairs.
The Minister will also interaction with the media at Medigadda barrage at 2 PM on Friday.
The Medigadda barrage remained virtually defunct ever since the sinking of piers in the 7th block of the barrage on October 21, 2023. (NSS)
