
Hyderabad, Dec.11 (NSS): An agreement has been signed between the P.V. Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University and the Roads and Buildings department for the construction of the new veterinary college buildings in Kodangal.
The MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) was finalised at the office of the Special Chief Secretary of the Animal Husbandry department in the Secretariat on Wednesday.
The new veterinary college campus will include the main building, veterinary hospital, girls and boys hostels and other facilities. The buildings will be constructed over a 38-acre area with an estimated cost of Rs.171 crore, as informed by Sabyasachi Ghosh, Special Chief Secretary of the Animal Husbandry department and Vice-Chancellor of the University.
Sabyasachi Ghosh further mentioned that the establishment of the veterinary college will contribute to livestock development in the Kodangal region, benefiting the economic growth of farmers and overall regional development.
The event was attended by Professor Sharath Chandra, Registrar of the University, Professor Chinni Preetam, Estate Officer, B. Rajeshwar Reddy, Chief Engineer (Buildings) of the Roads and Buildings department and other officials.
The proposed veterinary college is expected to play a vital role in regional development, agriculture, and the livestock sector, providing essential support to the area’s growth.
