Hyderabad, Jan.27 (RAHNUMA): Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajendar, laid the foundation stone for construction of Road Under Bridge in lieu of LC Gate BP No. 8, Vajpayee Nagar and Limited Height Subway near Safilguda Railway station on Tuesday at Neredmet Railway station in the august presence of Marri Rajashekar Reddy, Member of Legislative Assembly, Malkajgiri and other dignitaries.
Dr. R. Gopalakrishnan, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division; K. Mutyala Naidu, Additional DRM (Infra), Secunderabad division; D.S Rama Rao, Additional DRM, Hyderabad division; A. Sridhar, Chief Public Relations Officer, SCR; Udaynath Kotla, Deputy General Manager, SCR and other senior Railway officials were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajendar, stated that foundation stone is laid today for two important developmental projects worth Rs. 87.28 crore. He stated that the Road Under Bridge at Vajpayee Nagar and Limited Height Subway near Safilguda Railway station have been long-cherished dreams of the people of Malkajgiri. He highlighted that these projects are being funded by the Railways to ensure smooth and timely execution of works. Further, the MP emphasized that continuous efforts are being made at all levels to provide the best rail infrastructure facilities to the people of Telangana, be it, the construction of RUBs and ROBs, express train stoppages, enhanced safety measures on Rail tracks.
Addressing the gathering, Marri Rajashekar Reddy, MLA informed that the construction of RUB at LC No. BP-8, Vajpayee Nagar has been sanctioned with a cost of Rs 74.47 Crores and the LHS at Safilguda is being undertaken with a cost of Rs 12.81 Crores. He stated that these developmental works have been a long-standing desire of the local people and will be immensely beneficial to them. He stated that the new RUB and LHS will strengthen the safety of road users and ensure seamless commute without any detention at the gate.
Earlier, Dr. R. Gopalakrishnan, DRM, Secunderabad division presented the welcome address and briefed on the details of the project. He informed that the construction of these two initiatives will immensely benefit the city public in terms of Road safety, seamless travel and saving detention time.
