Musi displaced residents to get new apartments in same localities: Bhatti

Hyderabad, March 18 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has reiterated that displaced people from the Musi river area will be rehabilitated in the same locality by constructing apartments.

“At present, many people are residing in the Musi catchment area, all of them will be provided rehabilitation—regardless of whether they possess house ownership documents or not,” Bhatti Vikramarka said.

Addressing the Assembly during the Question Hour on Wednesday, Bhatti Vikramarka said that BRS leaders must clarify whether they are opposing the “Musi river rejuvenation project.

“Do BRS leaders want the lives of people living in the Musi catchment area to remain unchanged, continuing in unhygienic conditions? They should make their stand clear,” he said.

Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the State government is moving forward with a strong sense of social responsibility.

“For the children of displaced families, a Young India International School will be established in the same area. Better hospitals will also be constructed there.

The Musi rejuvenation is a major mission. STPs (Sewage Treatment Plants) will be set up everywhere, and only treated water will be released into the river,” he said.

The Deputy Chief Minister stated that unlike BRS leaders, they do not indulge in publicity extravaganza and all details of the Musi Development project are available on the website.

‘Anyone can offer suggestions, and we will consider and adopt good ideas as we move forward,” he said.
