Amaravati, Aug.14 (NSS): Anna canteens at different places in AP will start functioning from August 15. As per the election promise, the coalition government is all set to set up the Anna canteens. In the first phase, 100 Anna canteens will be made available across the State. Arrangements have already been completed.
On August 15, CM Chandrababu will inaugurate the Anna Canteen set up in Gudivada town of Krishna district. However, the menu is ready regarding the food served to the people at the Anna Canteens. Chutney or powder or sambar will be served along with idli on Monday as part of breakfast in the morning or puri, kurma is going to be there.
On Tuesday, chutney, powder, sambar and mixture will be served with chutney or powder or sambar, or upma along with idli. There will be chutney or powder or sambar with chutney or powder or sambar or pongal along with idli on Wednesday. Chutney or powder or sambar or puri kurma along with idli will be served on Thursday. Chutney or powder or sambar with idli or chutney or powder or sambar with upma along with idli on Friday. Chutney or powder or sambar will be served with chutney or powder or sambar or Pongal along with idli on Saturday. White rice, curry, dal or sambar, curd and chutney will be served as part of lunch or dinner. The menu will remain the same for seven days a week.
Timings: Party sources say that CM Chandrababu’s schedule has been finalised in this regard. Initially, Chandrababu wanted to start the Anna canteen in Visakhapatnam district. However, the event was postponed due to the code for local body MLC elections. He will launch the scheme by inaugurating the Anna Canteen set up in Gudivada town of Krishna district.
