
Hyderabad, July 22 (NSS): GHMC Commissioner Amrapali Kata has directed the concerned officials to take all necessary measures to control mosquitoes in the city and take strict precautions to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases.
Commissioner Amrapali held a teleconference with zonal commissioners and additional commissioners on Monday morning and gave directions to them on various issues.
Gambujia and oil balls have been ordered to be released at mosquito breeding sites to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes by her on the occasion . She suggested that dry day should be observed every Friday to prevent the mosquitoes and added that awareness programmes should be conducted among the people on precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the seasonal diseases like dengue, chikungunya, typhoid, diarrhoea and viral fevers during the rainy season. She directed the officials to provide health services to the people without any difficulty and added that if there is a disease like malaria, diarrhoea, dengue anywhere, preventive measures should be taken on a wide scale in such areas. It has been suggested that regular monitoring should be done to ensure that the sanitation was done properly so that the problem of sanitation does not arise. She directed all officers of the respective departments to work in coordination with each other .
She also directed the officials to immediately fill up the potholes so that people do not suffer due to the them . She instructed the concerned officials to provide better facilities at Annapurna meal centres. She also instructed the concerned officials to prepare proposals for repairs of community buildings and creation of basic amenities. Zonal Commissioners have been instructed to collect the details of the community halls circle-wise and take steps to set up necessary infrastructure. Officials concerned have been instructed to carry out checks on the collection of parking fees at cinema halls and malls.
