Hyderabad, July 27 (NSS): Former minister Jagadish Reddy has criticised that not a single State minister has any knowledge about agriculture sector. “What do they know about Telangana when they drink water from the elbows of Andhra babus? In the past, the State rulers acted as if the Krishna and Godavari rivers were born for Andhra,” he claimed.
Speaking at the assembly’s media point, he said former CM KCR, who knows how to lift water, built a pump house at Kannepalli and added that the the State government was saying that something had happened to Medigadda while noting that 10 lakh cusecs of water is being wasted at Medigadda project now .
He alleged that Mallanna Sagar, Kondapochamma Sagar and Singur projects were drying up due to lack of water and added that farmers in Kodada and Suryapet constituencies were waiting for water. He accused the Congress government of making excuses in the name of NDSA guidelines. “There is no intention of giving water by the government. The Congress and the BJP are playing a drama on Kaleshwaram project. The NDSA did not come to Hyderabad and gave a report as had been stated, Union Minister Kishan Reddy in Delhi.
